    It gives a wider flow on the output of your return line (from sump).

    flare nozzle | Marine Depot

    Choose 2.5" flare nozzle if your return line will be 1/2". Choose 3" flare if return will be 3/4" plumbing.

    Actualy yes. I stopped at the bottom and top of the stand. I decided that I had made it to tall. And it is to late to make cuts. I still am worried about the legs being stable. I just plan on using the braces to hold them together while the glue dries. Is this acceptable?

    I used glue and screws myself. The screws will hold it together just fine. How tall are your legs? I put a shelf towards the top of my stand to help with stability. Are you planning on putting the legs in between the top and bottom?
