as you probably know my nano build didnt go the route i planned it and i figured the only way to fix things the way they had gone was to start completely over. well not entirely over but i just today took back the yellow tail damsel and emptied the tank. i refilled it all this time with water from the lfs and the sand is still in there as well as the rocks. at this rate how long do you think a cycle will be? thanks

Cycles have no definite time span. It could take 2 days, it could take 2 months...just keep testing, testing, testing.
Good luck, was the tank started today?

You're lucky, I work at my LFS but would never take water from the reef display. 760 gallons of cyano and appies!

Ours isn't even set up yet, he still needs to get 4 400W Halides. The tank is a mammoth! Its a 750 6'x6'x3' display 300 gallon fuge, 12x18 offline skimmer 8000GPH return. We still need to get a biopellet reactor for it. All built by that guy BashSea I told you about.

Anyway, any idea what you wanna put in this tank? Why not do an invert only? Perclimes shrimp?
