Marineland went all out at MACNA. Not only did a few 3reefers get their latest Double Bright LED lamps, but literally 1000 people at the MACNA banquet Saturday night received a new Marineland LED submersible light bar. Wow. These cool lights will find many uses I am sure. They should be available 1st quarter next year and come in a few different sizes. These sure beat a t-shirt - big thanks to Marineland!

That is just amazing in my book. Way to go Marineland. Hopefully some of those 3reefers can post some reviews, lol.

I feel I should amend this a bit. I was told by Marineland that they had 1000 to giveaway. I am not sure if 1000 people went to the banquet ... my guess would be less than that... in which case Marineland had everyone covered. Regardless, it was cool all the same.

I mounted mine in the JBJ 28g HQI nano. It's pretty awesome. I don't have to raise the Kelvin of the MH bulb (and slow growth down to nothing), yet I still get the benefit of adding the extra actinic. It's nice that it comes with a separate on/off switch.

We stayed at the Quality Inn and it was lit up like a Christmas tree. Random people on the street were so confused.

I wonder if some of those lights were their frag tanks.

The reaction of the people on the street must have been great.
