    Good Evening,

I'm having issues with my Marineland 300. I know that it's not the best skimmer, but I have to make do with it for now until I overhaul my sump/fuge/skimmer combo in the spring.

I'm having trouble getting it to draw in enough water and it doesn't seem to be creating many bubbles in the chamber (at least compared to what it used to when it was newer).

I've cleaned the pump on a regular basis.

I just noticed today that on the bottom of the pump there are three holes that look like they were intended to have rubber "feet" or bumpers inserted in them for the pump to rest on. I don't have any bumpers on mine at all. Now, one of these holes leads directly to the water intake chamber of the skimmer. I'm wondering if plugging this hole would improve my water flow.

Anyone else have this skimmer that is familiar with the bottom of the pump, or doesn't mind having a look at theirs to tell me?

    Cheers.
