    If you don't like the glass ones but don't what a stealth, look into titanium heaters.

    Rena smart heater all day! You can even run flow through on it. No shatter, it's plastic. Best heater you can get imo.
    300w on my reef.

    You shouldn't need to get a probe to run a heater - if the heater is causing this, that is a problem.

    I meant as far as stray voltage. Now I know if you can feel it right on the equipment, then yes you should replace it.

    Mine split down the side and shocked the crap out out of me. Luckily no livestock in the tank at the time. Viaaqua titanium now.

    I've had mine for 2 1/2 months, its a 200w. Keeps temps pretty accurate, working good so far.

    You can use this as a return port from your sump and it also gets fresh water to the bottom of your tank. That is revolutionary.
