okay i have a 20 gallon tall glass tank just layin around and i wanna do a mantis tank. would it be okay to have it glass or should i go out and get acrylic? what all do i need to do to the tank? i am not a newbie i just dont know alot about a mantis shrimp but am still researching the everyday. i have a fluval 305 that i can use on it that is rated for up to 75 gallon tanks. im just worried he will hit the glass and i will come home to a very fun clean up again after my pipe had a leak in the middle of it and i didnt notice till a week when my floor was soaking wet. so if you guys could give me as much help as possible i would love it. and lots of kuddos to all that help!
    thanks

it depends on what type of mantis you have. the larger ones (peacock) can break glass but most of the others cant until the get HUGE. Unless you provoke it in from of the glass it wont break but it is still a risk.

i was thinking a clown mantis. but idk. they are big so i will probably do a smaller one. cause i dont want a huge mess to clean up.
