Would i be able to keep any type of mantis shrimp in this?
Marineland Eclipse Corner 5 Gallon Aquarium Kit Aquariums
    Dimensions: 15.5"L x 10.5"W x 14.5"H

I really do not care what type of Mantis i have i just want to keep one, the smallest one there is.

I do have a ten gallon tank i could set up if i need a bigger space but the corner tank fits perfectly into the corner of my desk, if i set up a ten gallon i would not be able to keep the mantis on my desk.

    Thanks in advance

Honestly dude stomatopod.com has been like abandoned or something, but go to ccritters.com you can get a mantis there for $6 that's where I got my n. Oerstedii, just email Dana and tell her what you want

Yep I have emailed Dana quite a bit... but he is a guy haha. He said he can get me an O. havanensis, which is the species I really want to keep but I am not ready for one yet. Unfortunately they don't do well in a 5 gal, require a 20 or more. N. Wennerae would easily be do able in a 5 gal, they are pretty bullet proof. Only problem is you will have to stay on top of water changes and have really good filtration. They bury food so that will be a problem.

Hey maybe that was her husband or something cause I had called and talked to a woman who said her name was Dana and gave her email, but anyways they have been great with their service. But I definately agree with stepho, make sure you don't get the o. Havanesis, not a beginner mantis and needs larger tank as they are kinda delicate with water changes
