    i want to make a hole for a bulkhead in a 15 gal glass that i want to use for my fuge. Is there any way to make a hole without buying a 60 dollar drill bit??

    The drill bits aren't quite that much and you will need a diamond tipped drill bit to do it...otherwise you can say goodbye to your tank. Check out the link I've posted below.

    That is a nice bit, but the price on that is pretty high. on a plus if you can pick it up in the store you will have it right away. But you could have a couple different drill bits from them.

    Take a look at the overflow kits, for about the cost of that bit you linked you could have an overflow box with drill bit.

    Gl*******s.com will sell you one. Plus they have tutorials on how to do it. Make sure its not tempered glass.

    +1, make sure it's not tempered glass, or you'll have a dustpan full of small glass pieces.

    Also you could probably hire a glass shop to drill it for you for a few bucks.
