    yea i dont wannna spend the money and not see it...got a little planning to do... i think imma see if a contractor can open the wall for me and see exactly how much

    ya know I would say it really depends on your future plans- are you planning on staying there for at least 3-5 more years? I have been in my home for 19 years and have no intention of moving- so for me it would be an easy decision.

    However, if you decide to build - build it where it will be of the best benifit, no matter what you have to do. Other wise it's just money thrown away.

    Good point, and I do plan on staying here for a while so that helps with my decision alittle...like I said it might be time to contact a contractor

    if you're handy, maybe ask the contractor if theres anything you could do yourself to help and try keep costs down. could get them to do the purely structural stuff and finish it/do the demolition yourself or something.
    every bit you save is more money for the tank ;) lol

    Verrryyyy true! I can dry wall and pretty much everything else, just can't jack up the floor and brace it and all...Preciate it...see now I'm glad I asked lol
