Thanks Fiyero, I dont want to be the only person posting information, and that was spot on from what I have read, and know to be true from LFS keepers I know- great job. You too Corailline.

When I first started out in salt water - I wanted an invert only tank, this guy was on my list, then a few years went buy, I was going to order one, Joe at Aquapets taught me why it wasnt a great Idea.

Could my tank support one, sure- would I want to run three 400 watt MH bulbs to keep him living as he should, nope- My power bill is too high as it is. :)

2fish, if I might suggest- go with an additional MH, or bump up to a 400 watter and use the attinics you now have- buy new bulbs- 10 or 14k for the MH, then replace the T5 bulbs you now have with VHO super attinic 50/50 mix- you'll love the look and your anemone will love you back for doing such. I wouldnt use the 4 bulb T5 with what you have. A 2 bulb with 2 switches would be perfect- a single T5 fixture one front and one back with the MH in the middle- this way you can change mid- level PAR and coloration.

Introduce this amount of lighting slowly- do this by rasing the light up high then lower it over a few hours.

Then you have lighting that will support nearly ANYTHING you want in your tank.

with how deep your tank is and you not using good bulbs, the retro-kit will be ineffective and a waste of money.

ebay! I bought several MH fixtures there- PFO went belly up so they are every where- cheap!!! And a fantastic fixture- one of the best made- in America no less. Then buy a decent dimmable ballast for less then 120 bucks and your set.

PFO great company- killed by a defence contractor because of LED aquarium lighting in YOUR court rooms- go figure.
