    Hi guys.

I just set up the Remora Pro with Mag 3 into my 75G tank, but it seems to be too big to sit flatly against the backside. Do you have any suggestions as to how to make it sit flatly or are there other pumps that can replace it so that it fits better?

    I attached the pics :)

You could either get a longet tubing from the hardware store or put it in a sump / fuge. That would be the easiest without pvc angles which would result in a slight loss in gph.

I use a Rio 1700+ pump for my Remora Pro. Its rated at 650gph and works great.

Remora pro with mag 3 mounting issues

I searched and searched for the same answer you are looking for and i have solved the mystery. Take the pump and undo all the screws, turn the housing 180 degrees and re attach the screws. When looking at your picture the bottom of the pump will now be at the top, you basically want to make the lable on the pump upsidedown this will give you ample room. Do not buy any extra tubing or pvc pipes. Doing this will make you lose power to the skimmer and you will also not be able to use the pre-skimmer box. mine now fits just fine.
