Loud overflow, any sudgestions?

    EXACTLY! A DIY silencer, i like that! It works great too! You cant hear the suction or the flushing noise any more at all, unless you were standing inches from it! Plus the sponge does not stick up at all, and has a flat profile. I will take pics tonight when i get home

    Try adjusting your return pump valve, if you have a ball valve in line, to equalize the amount of water going out and the amount going in. It takes fine tuning but your noise should equalize and be much quieter. I speak from experience with this same problem and it was just a simple tweaking of the valves that fixed my problem.
