    Also my sump contains only filter media. No LR or bio balls. Sponges, floss, phosgaurd, and some carbon.

    1. In order to reduce nutrients by 50%, 50% water must be removed and replaced.

    3. Since the fish is eating, I would continue as directed. It's not unusual that a fish is stressed and attains some sort of disease when introduced to a new home, especially ick. The most important factor is the fish is eating.
