I guess. haha I really liked that one he was very black up top and dark orange on bottom and had only two stripes.. this guy is alot lighter :( but he's pretty cool. he is still a young one too so its okay life goes on.

I am just having the worst luck.. I dont know I need to test my waters I guess the new one I just got didn't last a day. he did awful and the shrimp got to him. ughhh I hate the hobby sometimes. but my corals are growing like mad mushrooms are spreading everywhere everything else is doing just fine, no algae blooms.. I just dunno ... Im thinking the tank water was too cold.. or something was off I just dunno anymore.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

Do you have a heater and a thermoeter for the tank? Must have to keeping fish in areas with a lot of seasonaly differences in temperature.

I'd test my water (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates) and make sure the salinity and temperature are correct before adding anything else. Did you acclimate the new one before you put it in?

gosh im really sorry :( im sure this hobby makes everyone mad at some point, but it draws you back. remember not to give up its worth its pain. i remember the time when i thought i had bought salt water but i accidently bought DO water and did a 50% water change....no fish or inverts yet but i killed a lot of macro and micro dusters....i was so mad.

but as everyone suggested just wait a bit. maybe get a new thermometer? hows the clown goby doing? keep an eye on him.

I do have a heater in there.. and I did acclimate him I think my water is still a little cold. and I tested my waters. its not perfect but not nearly bad enough to kill anything. I have some nitrates. :/ I should just do a water change and it would solve a lot I think . The clown goby is doing perfect. I lost my nem crab tho :( I will do a water change soon and try to get things going good again I guess. Thats really sad about your tank im sorry! why were you doing a 50% water change! goodness
