I recently added another wave maker to my tank because I think my monti cap wasnt getting enough flow on it. There was white stuff all over it for weeks after one day its all better. But in my 75gal I have a MP40w all the way up on reef crest and a hydro 1400 and hydor 750. How do i calculate how much flow i have. Thanks;D

Add the max flow on reef crest for the mp40 to 1400 and 750.

5350 gallons per hour - devided by the toal number of gallons in your display tank. I think you have a 90 gallon, correct? So that would put you at about 60x turnover without considering water volume displaced by rock (meaning less water in display tank meaning higher turnover rate).

5350gph/75g=71.3is how many times the water is 'turned over'

Now I'm sure your tank has plenty of rock sand and other space taking items, so you don't actually have 75gallons of water in there prolly closer to 70-72g? Hard to say really.

Don't take my word on it 2in10 knows I'm sure.

Bah you posted just before me!

I have a 75gal with about 90lbs of rock, 5350/75 = 71.3 turnover rate but with the rock i have it could be some where around 60-65x im sure. Thank everyone i knew there was a simple way to calculate it :)

Oh yeah, 75 not 90. ;) But rock displaces water (meaning you really have somewhere b/w 60-70 gallons depending on rock density)...so you probably have at least 80x turnover in your tank. :)
