About a month ago my BTA split. I couldn't find one of he nems after a while and eventually found it in my overflow. It had gone through the U tube. Miraculously my tank didn't overflow and it lived so it must not have been in there long. I put it back in the tank and it hasn't moved since.

Just now I looked in my fuge and I found another BTA. Apparently, it had split while caught in my overflow. I looked in both my fuge and my sump when I first discovered it in my overflow at never found any. I wonder where he was hiding.

That's awesome. It's always neat when you find something in your tank you weren't expecting, especially when it's something like that.

    Nice!

Do you have a secondary overflow?

No. I only have one overflow. I'm running an Eheim 1262 pump. It has a lot of flow. Must've had enough to flush him through.

There was a discussion here a while back about using two U tubes or one. I was pushing for one because it keeps the flow high in the tube and flushes out bubbles that can reduce flow and cause an overflow. I've seen my tank get close to overflowing due to bubbles before I upgraded my pump to one with more flow. I never considered an anemone getting stuck in the tube. I'll have to think about this one. Perhaps a secondary overflow that is higher than the normal tank level can be used. Just keep it primed so that if the first one fails the secondary kicks in.
