Long nose butterfly fish in reef tank

    I have a 75 gallon reef tank. I was wondering if a longnose butterfly fish could be kept in a reef. My tang is pretty much all softies and a few lps

    you can try it but butterflies don't mix well with corals.

    Yeah...Its kinda a 50/50 with those...but ive known some people to have them in the there reef tanks, but its nice to have them in a bigger tank.

    I added a 3inch longnose to my reef tank about a month ago and so far it has not touched my corals. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I did make a deal with my lfs that I could return it if it becomes a problem.

    That long nose is very good for coral polyp snarfing.
