a biowheel will suck up a 2 fish and kill them asap, ooops, oh well, put a mesh cover on the intake and we are going back to the LFS tomorrow

yeah, it literally took about an hour, had the thing on another tank with no issues, thinking they wanted to die. oh well, got the cory cat still, I wasn't excited about the fish that were in it anyways, going to a better freshwater LFS tomorrow with more options

lol, not at all, life lesson learned though, 4 types of plants in there, nice lil led on top. trying to convince him a school of neon tetras would be awesome but he likes funny tailed fish and it is "his tank" so we will see what happens.

 

Good luck Ryan, I think I was the same at his age although the funny tail fishes were only goldfish.

I always wanted a planted tank with a massive school of neon tetras.

Now that I got into reef though Im not sure I ever want to set up a FW tank again. I can barely stand to walk through the FW fish at the lfs now lol
