lobsters

    can i keep a lobster like one of those from ha krogers i dont why i just always wanted one could i keep one in a 36

    You can, but they aren't really reef safe. They may kill snails and hermits, I don't think they will eat corals.
    (sorry, I thought you were talking about tropical lobsters)

    Most likely, the lobsters you're talking about are a cold water species so I would say no, not without a chiller.

    those lobsters need cold water and would not be good for a reef tank.

    i dont want to keep it with anything just it and a couple pieces of rock and like i couldnt just not have a heater i have a seperate tank for it and ? how would they be reef safe if they need cold water

    Might seem silly but.....Take a thermometer to Kroger and get a reading. Ask for a cup of water for testing purposes. I'd be curious of the readings myself.

    Whatever you keep it in would be better for the lobster than a pot of boiling water :)

    Its up to you. But coldwater tanks are VERY expensive. Your going to need a massive chiller, very thick acrylic tank, etc.

    You can get saltwater lobsters. This is a pix of mine.[​IMG]
    I meant to say reef lobsters that stay small and can be kept in almost any tank.
