so i bought lr a whiles ago (good deal, guy said it was already cured), put it into a garbage can with water, powerhead and a heater, i was thinking i would be able to put the rock into my tank once the parameters leveled out.

Well, it's been about 3-4 weeks (haven't had ANY time to do anything with the rock, shame:() and i tested the water in the garbage can and here's how things turned out...

    ammonia: 0ppm
    nitrite: 0ppm
    nitrate: 5ppm
    ph: 7.9

On paper it seems the rock is alright, is it safe to add it to the tank? should i bring the pH up in the bucket by doing a water change? I finally have time to take care of the rock i bought, but i just want to make sure everything is a-ok!!

    Adem

I would just rinse it off real quick and add it to the tank.

Seems good to me, I wouldn't worry too much about it. The ph of the water won't really affect it that much.

I don't see anything in your sig that would haul off and die with a slight change in parameters.
