    I don know what the difference between t5 and compact is. Someone had recommended me to use a 50/50 so that's what I've got up right now

    50 50 your looking at power compacts, there ok, but run pretty hot. Also your kind of limited to what kind of coral you can get. Mostly softies such as mushrooms and some zoas

    Well I'm planning on keeping just fish so for now I'm not worried about corals but is this a bad ligt for my live rock?

    For fish only with live rock you are ok.
