with the tank not being cycled yet. theres nothing you can do. It will grow back after it has cycled and the beneficial bacteria establishes it self

it takes more then a month to cycle, so you still have a bit way to go, since your only on 9th day, don't worry ^^

Give it time, when my tank started it looked like this

    a couple of months later

then a few months after that, my power heads look like this

just be patient and keep up with the tank, also purple up is way over priced bs, if you were thinking about it
(look into DIY 2 or 3 part dosing)

Many times the coraline algae will die due to the change in light. For example, if the rock was taken from an established tank that had Power Compact lights and then you put the rock under Metal Halides then 9 times out of 10 the coraline algae will die and turn white. But, no worries, it will not harm anything nor will it change your cycle time.

I hope you are cycling your tank with proper lighting?? When I put my 90gal online on May 17th 2010, I had a couple pieces of live rock that had coralline algae that I purchased from my LFS. I had growth on them from the tank cycling, but they never lost their color though. Now, I have coralline algae starting to grow all over the rest of the rocks and it's only July 4th 2010.

You can check out om 90gal thread and see the progress. As for lighting I would be using T5, MH, or LED. Power Compact is not going to give you enough proper lighting by it's self in my experiences. I myself am using a T5 fixture. But it does take time buddy.
