Live rock infested with fungus?

    hey all, just noticed a heap of white fungus looking substance over majority of my live rock after returning from a holiday.
    Currently no fish in the tank as they're all in a hospital for marine itch.
    The rocks look like they have little white trees on them!
    Will post a pic asap!

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Some sort of bacterial or algae bloom I imagine, so this tank is still cycling?

    The tank has been cycling for a week since the fish have been removed due to the itch, but previously was running for 3 months with no problems.
    Would this be harmful to the tank?

    Most likely not. If need be you can start to manually remove it, and try running a UV if the problem does not clear on it's own.
