Live Astrea Snail with SPS growing on it!!

    I couldn't believe it either; now I think I've seen it all.

    This astrea snail has some kind of SPS growing on it. It may be difficult to see in the photo, but the polyps ARE alive and it is growing well on this snail's shell.

    My first guess was that it's a Monti of some kind, but the polyps look a little larger than most montis I've seen.... What do you guys think?

    Thats kinda cool im sure it gets all diff types of lighting and flow moving around on that little guy.

    Pocillipora maybe? There's some at the LFS growing on the frag rack. It's draped over the edge like a blanket LOL.

    OK, I just fragged a piece of the coral and it's on my frag rack now... hopefully, I'll get some growth and we'll see what it turns out to be! ;D

    Very cool :D. I had a nerite for some time with a tree coral on him! :) It was neat to see mobile coral.
