Keep the lights off for a couple days to minimize his stress level. Try using live feed, like ghost shrimp or small baby damsels.

I havent been able to find ghost shrimp at my LFS. However, I have seen him flexing his jaws so he can open his mouth. He was big on mysis shrimp for the longest time and also ate one of the blue damsels that were in the tank several months ago. About 3 months ago he made a meal of the lawnmower golby that I put in there. Ill need to see where I can find ghost shrimp in a hurry!

Do you just squeeze garlic cloves for the soaking?

Definitely go with the Garlic Xtreme if you soak the foods, just a couple drops though. Personally, I would go with a baby damsel that will fit in his mouth than ghost shrimp. It will be easier on his digestive track than the shrimps skeleton.
