    They are very hard to keep from experience and if you have the slightest change in parameters and its down hill from there. I went against the advice I was given on here and failed I did notice though that they eat film algae which was very interesting and bristle worms will eat them, that was the demise of mine :cry:

    its been in my tank 5 months . and i had one years ago that also did well. any linka i bought that died did so in the week. its why i believe its mis handling. liveaquaria is the best when it comes to linkas. both i had that did well came from them.

    i will do with the live bacteria, cant hurt :)

    I had one for almost 3 years in a 46g BF i never change the water and have relatively large SG swings. I dont feed my two fish and run old PC's on the top for light. I just recently died I think from age. I agree, you need an established tank. I dont know what it ate, I have to think film algae or some sort of bacteria coating because it spent most of its time on the front glass I rarely clean. I don't think they are delicate, just hard to feed.

    Like everyone else has said they are really hard to keep, and slowly starve. I dont think any stars really do well in tanks
