lights for a 10 gallon

    thats true you can't match the light from the sun, but i do think its possible to match the amount of light corals get in the ocean once you get around 15- 20 wpg. any way the reason i said it was two much is that in my expierence once you get over 10 wpg there is just to much heat generated for the water volumn for you to be able to run it with out a chiller

    edit: im just guessing on the figure of 15-20 wpg because i know a lot of the spectrum doesn't make it to the coral

    I will agree with that. On my setup I have a 55gal sump under the AC vents =) What about 2 of them mini subs

    i would shoot for more around 4-7 wpg, so it would take 4 of the lights it would be fine

    I like this one i'm only 17 and i cant spend 100s on lights would fursent(spelling) work or two of those energy saver bulbs from wallmart made 4 tanks

    going back over the lighting i think this would be cheaper and give you more watts Aquarium Lightings - Power Compact Lighting - Free Gift with Light Fixture Purchase

    if it was me i would use that, i think buying a more expensive one would be a waste of money in your case. the 65w strip will allow you to get a feel for the hobby and if you like it you will probably end up going to a bigger tank, then you can go all out on that one
