lights for a 10 gallon

    i have a 10 gallon tank that is lit by wallmart blue bulbs right now it's a fish only but i'm going to get corals soon (polyps) what lighting should i get

    powercompact lighting. because 10 gallons are so small it limits what you can get.

    I think a PC 2x64 1-10000k 1-AC would be nice JBJ has a hanging model this shuld be perfect for 10-30 gal

    thats to many wpg(13). and if im correct a 64 watt compact is two feet long, how long is a ten gallon i thought it was only like a foot?

    you could try it i wouldnt put any hard corals in it, maybe some zoas, mushrooms and greens star polyps would e ok

    edit the price of the the bulbs is probably around the same as the new 64 watt fixture

    Hay doesn’t get me wrong it was my suggestion because I ran that setup before in a coral goring tank. I was always taught no manmade lighting can ever match the sun so you can’t have too much. When I ran them my lights hung by cable from the ceiling 8 inches over the tank. Only cautions would be water tempature & algae growth.

    I just measured the lights there 20in long. A normal 10 gal tank is 20in long.
