Lighting for mantis tank

    Hi everyone,

    I want some opinions on using this PC fixture for my mantis tank. Its a 20 gallon long tank. I've heard that mantis tanks should be somewhat dim and mostly actinic. Are there 30 inch bulbs that are fully actinic instead of half and half?

    Here's the current fixture I'm looking at.

    I dont know, never had a Mantis or in fact PC lighting

    So I am bumping this one for Stepho, Jwinn , Inwall - who I note from recent posts all have Mantis experience

    yeah that's the bulb except I can only find it in 20 inches not 30. Stumped. Maybe I should go cheap t5 and use actinics.

    Its a 65W bulb. They are 20". The fixture is 30", not the bulb ;)

    the daylight bulbs are 30 inches or 28 inches

    im with pack..if its anything like my coralife 30" pc..and it looks like they use the same type bulbs..the bulbs aren't 30 inches..they're only around 2/3 the length of the fixture and are single ended..so i'm pretty sure the one i posted is the one you are looking for
