I had about six fish die off within a two week span. A lawnmower blenny, percula, firefish, yellow tail damsel, and a chromis. Only fish left is a coral beauty. Cleaner shrimp and snails and crabs are all fine. They were all fine and thriving. All parameters great. The only thing I did was change the lighting from a full spectrum bulb to an actinic one. Could this be the culprit? Or is it just a coinicidence and I'm overlooking something? Just in case, I did switch back to a full spectrum bulb.

The bulb change is very unlikely to have affected your fish.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Sorry to hear about the looses, that is a bummer.

I do not think lighting played an issue though, as posted above parameters should probably be checked.

    Also tanks size, age.......

Hope it turns around for you and your fish.

The lighting would not kill your fish, what are your params, condition of tank, etc

Tank has been established for about two years. It is 56 gallons. The bulb was one of those that you get at Petco (coral life?).
    pH 8.2
    nitrate 0
    nitrite 0
    ammonia 0
    phosphate 0.5
    spg 1.027 (high?)
    temp 76
Having a little trouble with hair algae due to phosphate levels. Did a 20% water change today. Will continue 10% weekly changes. Gonna put more phos-ban in the filter.
