I was hit by IKE and was without power for 10 days. I had made 12 gallons of RO with IO salt the water sat in the container for that amount of time and I just turned the power head back on to get it moving. We got Electricty Monday. Is this water bad? Should I make a new batch? There is nothing in the water it is sitting in a ice chest that I always use to make fresh RO water.

I would dump it seeing as it has been stagnant for 10 days.

The Salt mix bag doesnt say how long you can have it stored? Try contacting the company and ask them. Luna

I don't see why it would go bad, it's just salt and water. If some of the salt becomes undissolved you mixing it back up should reinvigorate it.

Yeah, toss a powerhead in it and let it aerate for a day and it should be good to go (however, you should probably test it to make sure the pH hasnt dropped from sitting around uncirculated for 10 days)

I have had water sitting in a covered bucket for 7 to 14 days at a time and never had a problem using it at all. I just toss a power head in it and stir it up for a while and go.
