lfs have a choice of whether to be good to you and only sell you thing that you need at wich will give them less money in the short run but ((if)) you come back they will make more money bc you will continue to buy stuff. Or when you come in they can try to sell you the large amounts of goods to make a fast profit and you could or could not come back. It is there choice but

i dont think that you should hold this against this store jmo

Dont forget that they have a family just like you do and they need food on the dinner plate.

I think for most lfs it starts of as a hobby but then the realize that they need to pay the bills and put food on the dinner plate.

not AT ALL saying i agree with what they are doing... BUT you have to realize business is business and people will do anything to make a profit... especially in this recession. Do i think you shouldnt go back? No. Do I think you should be cautious about what you see/buy there? Definitely

My LFS (a good one mind you) has a 24 gallon cube with a hippo tang, and 2 clowns, about 500$ worth of live rock and coral and its running one of those tom "all in one" sump things with the ATO. BUT they also have a sign "This setup as seen $cantremember... *FISH NOT INCLUDED, THESE FISH ARE NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THIS TANK LONG TERM" (but hey kids want Nemo and Dory). I'm shocked ORA didnt start breeding percula with a small fin on one side ;) *chaching*
