I am traveling to phoenix next week to visit my brother who lives there. He lives off of bell rd (85022). Any locals who know where a good store would be to visit while I'm there?

I also live off Bell Rd near I-17.

There are two must see stores in Phoenix.
AquaTouch which is not far from Bell Rd. of 32nd St and Cactus. This is the oldest high end LFS in Phoenix and worth the visit.

    The other is fairly new:
Reef Culture They are off the Loop 101 and 202 intersection in Tempe so are easy to get to. All tanks are lit by LED and it is amazing.

There are several pretty good smaller LFS too, two of them on Bell Rd in fact, but none compares to the two above.

I assumed you'd chime in, thanks. I think I'm going to visit aquatouch.

Visit both, RC is a sight to see, very modern with all the acrylic tanks and LED lighting. Like AT they also quarantine their livestock and their coral selection is amazing. Its a little further away but I can be there in 25 minutes from where I live.
The staff and owners at AT are very knowledgable, Michael Janes writes many published articles and is well known in the hobby. Its nice when you can walk in a store like either of these and they know you by name...well maybe that means I spend to much time there too?

My wife is from Ohio and I try to do the same when I am back there but unfortunately there isn't much for saltwater around Ashland, Mansfield or Bucyrus! I usually try to take in Cedar Point instead.

I live less than 5 minuts from aquatouch, I go there every week with my son for saltwater and to get maybe a frag or some live rock, or just to talk with the guys that work there. reef culture is also a really cool place, Id recomend both of them but reef culture is definatly worth going to, you will be very impressed with that store

Desert Rat was right on the money; go to those two for sure, don't pass up Reef Culture.

Fair enough. I will plan one of my days around going to both these spots. Thanks for the responses.
