So I made it over and bought:

Two awesome zoo colonies
An Aussie torch
A pair of swallow tail angels

 

I know it might be to late but my favorite place is Oceans Direct. its in longwood so its a little bit out of orlando but I thought I would mention it anyway. Oceans Direct Site

 

I hit wwc and got 3 corals and a 56lb bag of reef crystals also I managed to get a favia, sps of some type, and a red chalice for a total of 19.00 bucks ;D rocket what time did you get there? and where do they post the raffle numbers at?

also the store was GREAT I am going home tommorrow so they held it there for me until tommorow and will be ready to pick up and ready to go.

 

I got there right at 1:00, but needed to be back in Tampa by 2:30 so couldn't stay long. I knew I shouldn't have gone... I really don't need any more stuff right now. But then I've been looking for a nice torch (and they had a few) and a mated pair of Swallowtail Angels (and they had one) and I always love zoos and they had a couple small colonies on plugs that really caught my eye.

I'm such a f#@king addict.

They are awesome and have helped me out quite a bit. They really know their stuff and will work with you. They are shipping my stuff out to me in Berkeley on Monday. I have to admit that I got REALLY spoiled with the quality of the aquarium trade in Orlando. It's like a desert in the San Francisco Bay area. There are a couple nice oases here and there, but they are few and far between.

It is interesting how a huge metro area like the San Fran area can have so few quality stores yet support a thriving private organization like the Bay Area Reefers. Orlando, by contrast, is a relatively small city yet has more quality stores than I've seen most other places.

 

Orlando is just awesome. :-D
