Hey guys, I have a led par bulb curently but the only SPS I can keep under it are a birdnest and monticaps and I can keep LPS and softies my Green slimer and millepora are slowly a bleaching and there is barely any polyp extension no red bugs so I was wondering I have a aquapod hood that is 64 watts of pc that i can take apart to build on my 10g canopy is that enough light? But i have a kenya tree and gsp also zoas could those put off toxins that could harm sps?

Do you have any par readings on your tank? Bleaching is too much light, try putting the bleaching corals out of direct spot lighting.

Zoas can harm sps, I'm more familiar with RTN from zoa proximity rather than bleaching, but that doesn't mean it's not possible.

That's a definite possibility, all corals need to be acclimated properly. Which par bulb do you have? What are your acclimatization procedures when getting a new coral?

FTR, PC lighting will support most soft corals and some LPS. However, it will not support many SPS. Even T5s that use half the wattage produce more PAR/PUR. As Blooper said, bleaching is from too much light without proper acclimation.

Let them sit there until they recover their color. Then move them up a few inches every 3 days or so until you have them placed where you want them.

Until they regain color. Keep a close eye on them. If they appear to bleach further, you may need to dim your lights and/or shorten your lighting schedule.
