leaving for vacation Q's

salinity will go up if evaporated water isnt replaced. if you add to much water the salinity will go down. thats why awto is fresh water, only water evaporates.

 

I run my salinity on the high side all the time everything seems to do better and if my auto topoff decides to hay wire it just drops down to the minimum before I can get home GOod luck I would turn skimmer off I have 2 tanks that have never had a skimmer and never will if you dont have sps in it you really dont need a skimmer.IMO I do run big skimmers on all my big systems though. but 10 dasy will not hurt it and will save you a headache to worry about.
