Leave well enough alone?

So true. I really wash my hands with just water and dry. Hand creams can have a bad effect as well. I have even heard of those plug in room fragrance products causing problems when in close proximity to a tank. True I do not know for sure.

 

If I do need to wash my hands I use Dawn.....no anti bactial product in it. But I also make sure my hands are dried before putting them in the tank or sump

I only go in if needed.....but there is always something it seems 2 or 3 times a week I have to...

Thanks 2in10. It is letting the urge to mess with things pass that is so hard for me. Thank god I do not know my values for strontium or iodine. I might feel the need to adjust something.

Three times What I hate is knocking the snails off with a mag float. Then I feel guilty and have to right them. Stupid asteria snails.

Sounds like me, every 2 to 3 days. I have been looking at a coral that is not sitting straight for 2 days now. It was kinda the inspiration for this thread.

 

I try to only go in once a week but I know it's more like twice a week LOL.

 

My tanks are filled with scorpion fish, I mess with them as little as possible. I also have 13 tanks.... there's not much leisure time for fiddling.

 

i can honestly say i cant remember the last time i put my hands in my tank. my old tank i used to put my finger in my tank at least once a day only because i had a clown that liked to be rubbed. but my new tank i never put my hands in it.
