leaky pipe

    ok well it set up my overflow today. im only 14 so i dont have a lot of money to get glue and primer, so i dident. i only have i leakey joint and its a stady drip. i tryed to tape it and it dident work. is their and way to fix it with out spend 50 dollers on glue, could i burn and melt the pipes together.

    Are we talking PVC piping here? If so, the proper glue is only $1 at any hardware store. You can usually get away with not priming it in a non-pressure use (such as an overflow).

    yes it is pvc and were out our HD its like 20 dollers

    That is way too high. There should be a small can (8 Oz.) of Wet or Dry PVC Cement. It is used to join PVC Schedule 40 and 80 pipe. It should be a MAXIMUM of $5.

    hahaha im in chicago. idk mabey i was looking at somthing diffent, so should i bother with primer, or just glue. my pump is pumping about 300 GHP in to the display, also i just relised that their are u jonits leaking, their about 1 inch apart, on is the bulkhead, the other in the 90 right below it

    If you can afford it.... then I would.

    I was not able to when I did my first overflow. Worked without leaking for 1.5 years. It is up to you.

    ok ill see if my mom will drive me their tomaro, do you think duct tape will hold for a day or two untill i get out their

    maybe.... never tried it to be honest. Couldn't hurt to try if you have it on hand.
