I have a 65 gallon tank with crushed coral, 75lbs or so of live rock, corals, and 4 fish. I just bought a 90gallon and I want to transfer everything to the new tank. Is it possible? Do I use the old substrate as is? Wash the old substrate? Or do i add all new substrate? Is it possible to do this without killing everything?

Toss old crushed coral and start new tank with dry sand with a cup of old crushed coral (or live sand from an established tank).

I would add a cup or two of the live sand in order to seed the new stuff. That is assuming the old tank was a reef tank.

not sure if you have to discard any of your sand. That would depned on how old the sand is.
