I think this will do it for a little while on corals. I want to make sure these guys are growing like they should be. After doing some testing and math it appears the daily uptake is .5 DKH and 16ppm Mag. Does this sound logical?

Calcium consumtion is very low and water changes should keep the levels up.

So i plan on dosing .5 DKH and 16ppm Mag daily. Does this sound like what you guys are dosing? I'm using the red sea supplements.

Just a thought and I am still have to figure out my consumption but the dose of ALK will effect the calcium level so keep that in mind and may want to start testing just to see how it looks before next water change.

I am not an experienced dosing expert so may have a minimal if no effect on the calc.

there no guarantees to what a clown will call home, my perculas damaged and killed an old torch coral i use to have my old setup (the skeletal structure of the torch is actually its prime enemy, as it can cut and tear the soft tissue of the coral). there have been people reporting clowns being hosted from anything from mushrooms to powerheads, personally iv never seen mine take the slightest interest in my lavender mushrooms though....then again they do have three anemones to chose from.....

i think your best bet would be a nem, i wouldnt suggest a condy even if they are very hardy, they can also sting the vajesus out of stuff (including your own arm) and in a small system like yours that may not be good idea as they do expand quite a bit when happy.

    quadricolor is where its at.

    looking real good btw

I might do a quadricolor but not too sure yet. When the tank is old enough for one I may not even have room. I really do like the rose or rainbow ones.

thanks chris. I'm a complete noob to dosing. My last tank was huge and I didn't have hardly any corals, so the levels never really changed.

I purchased a frag of cat's eye zoas from a local reefer and I got a pretty good deal, 8 polyps for $20. I also sold the hollywood stunner chalice. It was just too aggressive for my little tank. It's sweeper tentacles were reaching out probably 4 inches. It was a pretty color and it was growing really fast but I just didn't have room for it.

Also purchased a bottle of Calcium supplement. I still haven't completely figured out my dosing situation and with me adding and removing corals it's probly going to change even more.

Trimmed up the chaeto during this last water change. This is 3 weeks growth in my little tank. I'm not sure what you guys are getting in your larger tanks but I feel like this is a lot for me.

Added a torch and some more zoas/pallys. This tank is really starting to fill up. I think I am honing in on dosing a little better and now I'm wondering if I have calculated my water volume accurately. Here is a few pics of the tank. Thanks for checking out my tank.
