I'm a bit bored with my DT as well. But I have a couple other tanks to keep me occupied. I've found that constant upgrades keep me interested. Broke as well but that's a different topic:cheesy:

I've gotten to the point where I am extremely bored with my reef tank. I mostly just play around with my mantis now.

moving in the tank to a upstairs room will help greatly. I like it in my den/office. so everyone see's it when coming into the house. I also like to have one in the bedroom, but the noise of the pumps, etc would probly keep me awake, so i've passed on that idea for now.

looking at other people's tanks gets me motivated to do water changes and stuff plus think about what a PITA it would be to break everything down and sell it after all the work you have done

You could also sell some of your stuff and make room for new stuff. Or better yet...trade it.

Definitely move it out of the basement and since you are moving, take the tank or upgrade! I never get bored with this hobby... there is always something new to learn. But after all it is up to you whether this hobby can maybe get your mind of the obligations in your life... at least that's how I feel! I am also moving and currently only have 2 fish in my 110 gallon and 8 corals. Have to check the price of moving it or building a new one.
Just don't give up that easily.... you must have put a lot of money and time into your tank and in my opinion it is always a nice way to get away from everything.

my tank is pretty much on auto pilot these days too... I don't do much with it past mag float...

but, that's great IMO. The fact that I could be bored with it equates to more time with my daughter...

I mean, if I still had to mess with it constantly to keep it looking nice, I'd get bored with that real fast.
