Kill-A-watt ballast reading

    alrite everyone my magnetic ballast powering a 150w phoenix bulb 14k is 190 watts. then i tried the odyssea electronic ballast powering the same bulb and it reads 146 watt. what are your readings? icecaps.. and so on. thanks.

    150 w current sunpod ballast 168watts, 70 watt sunpod 73 watts, 250 watt current magnetic 274

    yeah i notice that electronic dont really seem to save much money even tho they claim they do? except for the odyssea ballast that is like.. wayy under.

    yes not as much as they make you think a good electronic will drive the bulb closer to actual wattage rated for the bulb

    Are your Odyssea ballast the silver or newer black ones?
    Mine are the older silver that underdrive. I'm only getting 60 Watts on what should be 250W. My icecap runs the same bulb at 262W.

    Standard 60W incandescent light bulb shows 61W.

    My Odyssea built in ballast for the PC actinics shows 106 W for 4 X 65W bulbs.. So should be 260W.

    LOL my silver odyssea ballast indicates 146w and its driving a 150 watt so i assume they fixed the problem. 60 watts ?!!?! LOLOL

    two more ice cap 430 running 2 48 t5s 176 watts and osram dimmable t5 ballast running 2 48 t5s 122 watts full power and 17 watts dimmed 90%
