so i've found myself in a difficult position. i love saltwater reefs...but i'm afraid i love my kid(s) more. i have a one and a half year old baby girl who is literally the sunshine in my life. i also have another on the way (a boy :) ) in about two weeks. i find myself neglecting to put towards the effort and not putting enough time into my tanks as i probably should (little girls are time demanding for those who don't know :p ). so i've made a decision to break down one of the tanks.

i've been running two tanks and have decided to sell the 15 gallon set-up due to not having enough time to handle the demands of both. i feel as though i'll gain more exposure by posting this in the bucket.

everything on the fifteen gallon is relatively new, all the equipment has been up and running since february. if you need more detailed pictures of each item, where i bought the items from, or if you have any other questions, email me or post a reply here to let me know. please check out the classifieds a take a peek at what i am offering, it will definitely be worth your time.

thanks for your time and here's the link.

I have 2 daughters, 2 and 4 years old. They do take up allot of time but eventually when your kids get a little older they will want to help out. My 4 year old (mind you my wounger one also) always wants to help out so ill let her clean the glass with the magnet scrubber or stuff like that. Make it a familly thing. Plus the time spent on my tank is split in half between my girlfriend and I. I know how you feel... its allot of work (kids and tank).

But with all that said. good for you for wanting to spend more time with your kids. Aint being a dad just great.

    thanks for the help inwall75...

    it's a beautiful thing being a father...

i'm sure my wife wouldn't mind seeing one of the aquariums gone though, she feels that i spend too much time on the tanks as it is.....

Well thats the trick... i got my girlfriend hooked on reef tanks as much as i am... well maybe not as much but... Sometimes i have to say NO when we are at the LFS and just walk away or else it would cost me a fortune cause she want everything. ;)

    Hey Jonathon,
Best of luck to your family with the new little one on the way.:)
Your nano system looks great! I'm sure you will be able to sell it.

Congrates Jonathon, I to just became a father in December 05' to a little girl. She loves chasing the Yellow guy around(yellow tang). Seeing her face light up in front of the tank it priceless.

I agree on this full heartedly

Thank you again for the Powerheads I got them yesterday and hooked them up quick. My wife said i looked like a kid in a candy store opening up the box tossing the peanuts in the air to get to the prize in the middle.

so i've taken the advice of everyone who has been kind enough to lend their thoughts and input about my nano set-up. i've posted on five sites, including 3reef, in their classified sections in regards to the sale of this set-up. i wanted to thank everyone for their help......

on another note, if all else fails, if anyone is interested in a single piece of the equipment listed above, i may be willing to part out the set-up. let me know and thanks for looking.
