Well everything else in my tank looks great, Birds of Paradise SPS, Torch Corals, Hammer Corals. Everything is looking great except for my Kenya tree. It may just not like the new LED that i've installed. I'm worried that if it does die it will release a bunch of harmful chemicals that will destroy my tank

So do I remove it or give it some time to reinflate. It's been deflated for about a week solid and TBH I rather not have it anymore because of how fast and aggressive it grows.

    Tips or suggestions?

I've read somewhere leathers can really play a big part on chemical warfare inside an aquarium! :-/

Leathers can and will deflate sometimes for extended periods. As you have stated these particular ones can drop babies and pop up everywhere. I would remove it.;)

About evert 1.5 months mine would look like its about to die and BAM it would come back with life and spread all over my tank. Mine would shrivel up and stay that way for about a week.

Hope this helps, I ended up taking out about 95% of my Kenya out and traded it in.

I really doubt anyone at the LFS would want it, same with my Devils Hand. They were my first additions to the tank, and now they just are eye sores. The kenya tree has not spread or dropped any thing but it's grown A LOT.

ReefBruh: Should I literally just pull it out? It has two feet that are attached to the rock.

Same with the devils hand, I can just pull these off the rock and they will survive the trauma?

+1 you guys thanks for the quick responce

Mine does that every now and then, but has yet to drop any babies! Maybe it needs to go before I have that problem! Who wants a kenya tree? lol!

My lfs fragged mine by just pulling it off, but then again, that lil 10 gallon frag tank that had 2 or 3 kenyas in it, now is literally covered, like 90% with kenya trees!

Ya after getting my first SPS and being in love with my hammer coral, I want to get a frogspawn and some pink sps that the LFS has in tiny frags. They are a hot pink and just stand out from everything else. Not sure the name but ya -- I would not lose much sleep over removing my devils hand and kenya tree.

The devils hand would be cool if it stood up right, but it's so fat it just lays on its side lookin like a cat turd

Looks like someone coughed up a lung TBH!

I'm just worried that I will end up ripping the foot or feet off the coral and it dying or not recovering. Same with the Devils hand. Both are glued down but I've noticed the bonds aren't as strong as you'd think. I'll give it a try tomorrow (pay day baybay!)
