    Does anyone here use Kent Osmo Prep Marine to prep their RO water prior to using for either top off or water change? I was told to use it even though I use kalk in top off morning and night and do 10% weekly water changes with Tropic Marin Pro Reef

    I use it with my top off water, but I dont dose kalk, well, at least not on a regular basis. Luna

    In my eyes Osmo prep does NOT need to be added to either water change or top off water. Only PURE water evaporates hence the RO water top off, and when doing water changes all the buffers and minerals/traces should be in the salt not an additive. At least thats how I look at it....

    I will agree with you to a certain point, but if your heavily stocked as I am, your comsumption rate tends to be on the high side. So when I top off with the Osmo Prep, its like a mini WC inbetween the "real" WC's. I try not to do WC every week. Luna
