Very good post going to do that for mines. I have a 24G aquapod. Have had mines 2 weeks so far now. Hopein for the best but I see them all the time big and small and I see it eating so I think so far so good. Nothing else really eats its pods. So hope I get as good as you. Going to get a jar and do what that page u put says. Here's a pic of my red baron lol

I am pretty sure you have an ich situation with Mr Red Baron you may want to look into

Sure does look like ICH. But could also be fine sand particles. That heavy slime coat makes the sand stick to em like glue.

I'm definitely no expert and like you, I too am learning. I've since removed the jar. It was more of a pain for me :) For now I'm just target feeding him 2x daily and he eats very very well. As for him eating pods, well he's on his own with that. I'm supplying them and hopefully he's eating them :)

hopefully that is the case, that same thick slime coating if the best defense against ich so it may be sand particles

Sure thanks. I love mines. And watch him very close. Not as lucky with the target feeding runs away. But soon I hope going to start making and keeping my own pods. Based on that link u posted so thanks.

Is the Red Baron eating prepared foods at all? In tanks as small as ours a Mandarin that's eating prepared has a lesser chance of starving.
