+1 on keeping the YTB damsel for me

mine have been with me for 2 years now, minor displays at new fish and then they get on with it
Marlinman has a point with the domino and humbug varieties though, they can be out and out aggresive IME

Keep the damsel if you enjoy him! All fish are different, so you don't know what his personality will turn out to be - he could be a total sweetheart. So if you like him, keep him. YTs are supposed to be one of the nicer damsels. I have a Springer's (another "nicer" variety) and he is a great tank mate. He is nicer than my clown and royal gramma.

As long as you keep only one in the tank I think you will be fine. I still have the original YTD that I cycled my tank with and he even came from the fellow I bought the tank from and he never bothers anything. Usually only see him when food comes out.

I agree with all of the above, YTs are a pretty nice fish. I cycled my tank with one and still have him. He rarely bothers a new addition and pretty much minds his own business. IMO, some damsels are not that aggressive while others, the domino and such are much more aggressive. You should be fine with the YT.
