What are you going to use for filtration?

probably nothing. i find it much more effective just to do two water changes a week and that keeps things in check. i may put in an air stone or some tiny nano pump for circulation.

i think with the right amount of bioload and the combination of sand and live rock should be enough for your filtration, and they do make very soft pumps that would work, i have a fountain pump that puts out about 30-50gph which would still be like a turnover rate of like 12x lol

As far as lighting chelsea you know about the Panorama's Pro's. But also a good Par30 bulb would probably be the route to go, more affordable with color choices. You could even get two and still be cheaper than a Panorama pro including the driver and dimmer. Something like a blue for dusk/dawn and a clear white for sunlight? Prob be around $200 for bulbs and the lamp fixtures. You would be able to grow LPS like euphyllia sp. and chalices. I love my stunner chalice and frogspawn and hammer corals. Also love my blue sympodium which i've never seen before. All of these I'm almost positive you could grow under 2 Par30's or even under one Panorama Pro 10-12000k 50/50

thanks for the tips! i will most likely just be getting a par30 for it, i like the idea of a panorama module but like you said its pricier and i just think that would be overkill for the tank. ill put only one par38 over it because i dont want the whole tank bright i want some places for some lps and softies to be okay and not being blinded by the light.

the tank is not very large at all there would be alot of excess light over the edges if i put a module over it.
