just my luck.....

last night i went to see C2C live near my hood, long story short i get there with a friend and i decide to put my wallet and car keys in her bag and give it to the people that take of your coats while the concert plays.... night was great, vibes were great, group was great.

a few beers and songs later we decided to leave to continue our night in town, so i get in the car with her and drive to town (the other side of the city to where the concert was). to my astonishment i am able to find a parking place right in front of the pub i usually hang out at...i should have known something was up.....

so we get out of the car head towards the pub and thats when i realize i dont have my wallet on me, she checks her bag...boom gone..... i get slightly aggravated and tell her im sorry but i have to find my wallet as all my stuff is in there (including a huge fine i have to pay cus i did not go shooting with my rifle and pistol for the army but that another story...) she insists on coming back with me so we drive back....

so i head back to my car, unlock the alarm, pull the door handle to open it and BAM! the door handle breaks off.....REALLY!!!!! WHAT HAVE I DONE!?!?!?...... so i have to open the driver door via the passenger seat.

done this i get in the car with my friend and we drive back to where the concert was and after asking around clearly my wallet had vanished, they were however able to find this crappy CD that the opening band threw out to the crowd and which i had caught and later lost as well....greeeeat....

so utterly defeated i bring my friend back home and then drive home myself counting my blessing i still have both legs and arms and go to sleep.

next morning i wake up to the cherry on top of the cake...a job refusal for an application i had sent off earlier that week......FML MAN!!!!!!

this said im not that gutted, cards were immediately blocked and all in all its not the end of the world, just a huge PITA to get all my documents back (drivers license, Id, etc)

anyway just thought i would share this little story with you. the highlight being when i went to open my car door and the damn thing broke right off....felt hulkish..... keep in mind i did not open the door in any form of anger or desperation...it felt like someone was having a very fat laugh up there......

 

Ive had a run of bad luck myself lately. Hope it all works out soon!

 

I would have locked the keys in the car and in a fit of anger got arrested for public intoxication, even though I had not been drinking.

 

hahahhaha that does make me feel a little better...oh wait youre saying i should have done that...NO!

 

Hey I will tell you why. Right now is the year of the snake if you follow the Chinese zodiac. And if anything bad will happen it will be this year. But Damn ik how you fell I have those days.

 

Sorry to hear about that string of bad luck it always is a huge PITA to replace all of the things we keep in our wallets and purses. One thing my sitter told me way back when, has actually held out to be true, you don't have two really bad days in a row so that being said, hopefully today is going to be a better day!

 

Ah that sounds rough man. Just one of those days. Gotta love those days.... lol

 

So, your friend checked her bag/purse at a coat check, and your wallet was in it?- maybe not the best of ideas- no cut down meant to you however, I could exponentially top the 'not the best of ideas' thing over you.

I'm sorry about your troubles, and I can see how sharing it makes it better sometimes.

My luck so to speak has been rocky lately, and like you, I just count my blessings.

My wifes birth year is this cycle, year of the snake. She is Chinese from the PROC. Actually, she says traditionally that you have to be extra carefull on your chinese zodiac birth year cycle, wear something with red in it to ward off evil spirits, etc.
It's not bad luck for everyone just b/c it's the year of the snake. This is according to my wife, who lived the first 28 years of her life in PROC.

Be completely her choosing, she's actually a fairly devout christian now, go figure
