My new BRS 75gpd RO/DI Plus unit;D;D;D . My tap water is around 30ppm coming in and 0ppm coming out @60psi. I'm so stoked. this means more water changes, cleaner water (duh) and eventually a happier reef!! Any new comers reading this, or those who still make that trip to the lfs, grocery store, buddies house, what ever. do your self a favor and buy one. I shoulda bought this before buying my tank. hands down, best purchase to date regarding my tank.

Way to go. The next piece that you will want for it is a pressure tank to put under your sink with it's own tap. I had the RODI for years before adding the pressure tank and recently installed 30 gal vat with a auto shut off for mixing salt. The tap I use for top off and coffee.

If its hooked up correctly, the dual inline TDS meter is not measuring your tap water TDS. Since they only have two probes they are set up to monitor the two points most important to you, RO only TDS on the IN probe and final or RO/DI TDS on the OUT probe. Thats one of the limitations of an inline meter, its dedicated to two points and cannot be used portable since it depends on flow past the probes to work.

With a little temporary replumbing you can move the OUT probe to the tap water side and get the tap water TDS which is a good idea to know then move it back to the treated water side. If you don't want to do that you should get a handheld TDS meter as you will find it very useful for testing things like your tap water, ATO reservoir etc.

Good purchase by the way. Water is the single largest ingredient in a reef system so its nice to have ultimate control over it.

YES!! I will do that as soon as i can. where did you get yours at?
Yeah this is a good point. its not measuring my water straight from the ground. its measuring it before the di and after. Thanks for pointing that out. Ill pick up a hand held one so i can double check and triple check! I know im very pleased with this unit. and hope to have a pleased aquarium!
    Thanks AZ!!
